MONTE PITTMAN Releases Third Solo Album ‘The Power Of Three’
January 21st, 2014
Longview, Texas-based guitarist Monte Pittman – who had performed for the likes of Madonna as well as Prong – issued third solo full-length album The Power Of Three on January 21st, 2014 through Metal Blade Records.
Alongside drummer Kane Ritchotte and bassist Max Whipple, Pittman travelled to Copenhagen, Denmark in 2013 to record the outing with producer Flemming Rasmussen.
The Power Of Three’s cover artwork was designed by Cam Rackam. The piece featured a portrait of Charon, the ferryman of Hades who carries souls of the newly deceased across the rivers Styx and Acheron that divided the world of the living from the world of the dead. This represented Pittman’s musical journey from what he did before and where he felt he was with The Power Of Three and beyond.
‘A Dark Horse’ was released as an iTunes single, the single featuring an artwork by Gustav Klimt titled ‘The Golden Knight (Life Is A Struggle)’.
