Mark Zavon, guitarist of American metal group Kill Devil Hill, issued self-titled debut solo full-length studio album on November 23rd, 2018 through EMP Label Group.
“I had a bunch of tunes that needed finishing or had just never seen the light of day, so I decided to put them together and see where it took me,” said Zavon.
Zavon hired Brian Tichy to record drums and, with the exception of several guest appearances by former Kill Devil Hill bandmate Vinny Appice (ex-Black Sabbath / ex-Dio) and W.A.S.P. bassist Mike Duda, handled the rest of the recording and performing duties himself at his Los Angeles studio. The effort was mixed by Josh Newell, and mastered by Paul Logus.
Zavon added: “I was really fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such talented people on this project; they really brought this record to life.”
