DARK WIZARD
Devil’s Victim
Mausoleum (1984)
Rating: 7/10

We reviewed Dark Wizard’s demo in issue #3 of Metal Forces and now the Dutch rockers have released this five-track mini-album.
Side one opens up with the fast paced ‘Trip Of Doom’ followed by ‘Big Typhoon’, which after a poor bluesy type intro picks up speed to a frenzied assault of mayhem that is matched by ‘Poisoned Whiskey’.
Unfortunately, side two is a bit of a letdown with ‘Mr Nice’ and ‘Devil’s Victim’ not producing the same sort of excitement level as those tracks on side one. However, a good vinyl debut and still worth checking out.
