LEGACY
Demo: 1 (1985)
|
This San Francisco Bay Area band is already being strongly tipped to follow in the footsteps of Exodus and Metallica, and if you’ve been lucky enough to hear the band’s four-song demo then you will know that Legacy certainly have the potential to go all the way.
The band were formed back in the summer of ’83 and their lineup reads: Steve ‘Zetro’ Souza (vocals), Alex Skolnick and Eric Peterson (guitars), Greg Christian (bass) and Mike Ronchette (drums). Musically, I think Legacy can best be compared more to Exodus than anyone else with the emphasis on heavy riffs and complex arrangements. ‘Reign Of Terror’ is probably the best track on the demo although the other numbers – ‘Burnt Offerings’, ‘Alone In The Dark’ and ‘Raging Waters’ – are equally as intense, and underline just why the band are attracting so much interest from the top independent labels.
