GRAVE HEIST
Future World Order EP
Self-released (2023)

Old Slayer vibes abound with this offering from the depths of Hudson Valley, New York. However, the main ingredient for this combo is the crossover styling which results in a confrontational work built on Ethan Portes-Chaikin’s muscular vocal chops which wouldn’t seem out of place on something punkier or even groove metal based.
Future World Order features five short tracks which are delivered in quite venomous fashion whereby angst is very much on the agenda as the seething title tune and my favourite cut ‘Rise Of Injustice’ prevail; the latter boasting an almost Anthrax streetwise chug.
This is the sort of EP that enables you to vent any political anger by way of an aggressive performance down the skateboard park. Put simply, this is 12 minutes of bruising thrash that packs quite the punch in a street brawl.
