AMORAL Release Sixth Album ‘Fallen Leaves & Dead Sparrows’

Helsinki, Finland-based heavy metal group Amoral issued sixth studio full-length album Fallen Leaves & Dead Sparrows on February 14th, 2014 through Imperial Casssette. United Kingdom release was scheduled for March 31st via Graphite Records.
Vocals were cut over the course of a week at Marco’s Cockpit in Kuopio, Finland, the home studio of Nightwish bassist / vocalist Marco Hietala – who additionally produced said parts. Guitars, bass, and keyboards were recorded at home studios, guitars being re-amped at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki.
Drum parts were laid down at Sound Supreme, the process the responsibility of Janne Saksa, as was mixing. Mastering responsibilities fell to Svante Forsbäck, meanwhile.
Aki Siltala handled cover artwork duties, having designed cover artworks for previous efforts Decrowning (2005) and Reptile Ride (2007).

Amoral celebrated the record’s release by performing a show at Virgin Oil Company in Helsinki on February 28th. The ensemble’s first in almost a year, the concert saw Amoral perform the entirety of Fallen Leaves & Dead Sparrows in sequence, followed by a set of tracks lifted from Amoral’s back catalogue.

A music video was filmed for the track ‘Blueprints’. Fifth studio record Beneath was released in October 2011.
