AVENGED SEVENFOLD Recruit Former BAD RELIGION Drummer Brooks Wackerman

Huntington Beach, California-based metal group Avenged Sevenfold have recruited drummer Brooks Wackerman, revealing this development on November 4th, 2015.
On July 23rd, Avenged Sevenfold revealed that they had parted ways with drummer Arin Ilejay. A former sticksman for Anaheim, California-based metalcore ensemble Confide, Ilejay joined Avenged Sevenfold’s ranks in early 2011 as a permanent replacement for James “The Rev” Sullivan, who passed away in December 2009.
Wackerman announced his exit from Los Angeles, California-based punk rock band Bad Religion on October 28th. Joining in 2001, Wackerman stepped behind the drumkit for Bad Religion studio albums 12 through to 16 – appearing on five in all.
Previous to Bad Religion, Wackerman had been a member of Los Angeles-based funk metal outfit Infectious Grooves, lending drums to the platters Groove Family Cyco (1994) and Mas Borracho (2000).
Sixth Avenged Sevenfold studio record Hail To The King was released in August 2013.
