BROKEN HOPE Release Sixth Album ‘Omen Of Disease’

Chicago, Illinois-based death metal group Broken Hope issued sixth full-length album Omen Of Disease in Europe on September 30th, 2013 through Century Media Records. The label also scheduled a North American release for October 1st. Drums were cut at Belle City Sound in Racine, Wisconsin with engineer Chris Wisco, while the remaining instruments were laid down at Mercenary Digital Studios in Zion, Illinois with engineer Scott Creekmore. Trevor Strnad – frontman for Waterford, Michigan-based death metal ensemble The Black Dahlia Murder – guests on the composition ‘Rendered Into Lard’. Guitarist James Murphy (ex-Death / ex-Obituary / ex-Testament) handled mixing and mastering responsibilities at his own studio, christened Safehouse Production.
Cover artwork duties were overseen by Wes Benscoter, who had previously designed the cover artworks for Repulsive Conception (1995) and Loathing (1997).

Omen Of Disease marked the first Broken Hope platter to feature a title track since 1991 self-titled debut full-length Swamped In Gore. The record additionally marked the first Broken Hope studio outing to be released since 1999’s Grotesque Blessings.
