CARNATION Release Second Studio Album ‘Where Death Lies’

Belgian death metal band Carnation issued second full-length studio album Where Death Lies on September 18th, 2020 through Season Of Mist.

Frontman Simon Duson commented: “After two incredible years in service of the Chapel Of Abhorrence, the time has come to venture forth into a new domain. Tirelessly, we have been building our new aural soundscape for months, and we are now ready to present what the future will hold. Prepare to witness an improved Carnation in every way possible; Where Death Lies awaits.”
Recording sessions for Where Death Lies took place between January and April 2020. The drums were tracked by Wojtek and Sławek Wieslawski at the Hertz Recording Studio in Białystok, Poland, while the vocals, guitars and bass were recorded by Yarne Heylen at Project Zero Studio in Nijlen, Belgium. Mixing was also handled by Heylen, and mastering duties fell to Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden.

A music video was filmed for the track ‘Sepulcher Of Alteration’, while a live performance video was also released for the song. In addition, official lyric videos were created for the title track and ‘Iron Discipline’, a guitar playthrough video was issued for ‘Malformed Regrowth’, and drum playthrough videos were made available for ‘Napalm Ascension’, ‘Serpent’s Breath’ and ‘Spirit Excision’. All eight clips can be viewed below.
Debut studio record Chapel Of Abhorrence was released in August 2018 via Season Of Mist.
