DEVIN TOWNSEND Releases 12th Solo Studio Album ‘Empath’

Vancouver, Canada-based progressive metal musician Devin Townsend issued 12th solo full-length studio album Empath on March 29th, 2019 through InsideOut Music.
Empath includes contributions from Frank Zappa alumni Mike Keneally as music director, as well as Morgan Ågren (Mats / Morgan Band / Fredrik Thordendal), Anup Sastry (ex-Monuments), Samus Paulicelli (Decrepit Birth / ex-Abigail Williams), Nathan Navarro, Elliot Desagnes, Steve Vai, Chad Kroeger (Nickelback), Anneke Van Giersbergen (ex-The Gathering), Ché Aimee Dorval, Ryan Dhale and the Elektra Women’s Choir.

Empath was made available in the following formats; limited 2CD digipak (including an entire disc of bonus material), standard CD jewelcase, gatefold 180-gram 2LP vinyl and CD and LP-booklet, and digital album.
Music videos were released for the tracks ‘Genesis’ and ‘Spirits Will Collide’. In addition, animated music videos were created for the songs ‘Evermore’ and ‘Why?’. All four clips can be viewed below.
Eleventh studio record Z²: Dark Matters was released in October 2014 via InsideOut Music.
