ENTRAILS Reveal 2016 Line-Up Changes
March 10th, 2016
Swedish death metal group Entrails have parted ways with vocalist / bassist Jocke Svensson and drummer Adde Mitroulis, recruiting vocalist / bassist Tommy Carlson (ex-Visceral Bleeding) and Martin ‘Fjalar’ Mikaelsson (istapp / Nivlhel) as their respective replacements. This development was revealed on March 7th, 2016.
Guitarist Jimmy Lundqvist issued the following statement: “It has been a pleasure having those two guys in the band for all those years. Without them Entrails wouldn’t have made the albums and shows that happened in the past. Unfortunately their time just wasn’t enough any more to give Entrails the time and focus that I wanted for doing even more shows and more intense work with the band. It is not easy to combine several other bands plus families when more time is needed to push Entrails even harder. And therefore the guys decided to leave in a friendly matter and what´s best for the band Entrails. We wish them all the best of luck in their other projects.”
Tommy Carlson shared the following words, meanwhile: “I’m excited and proud that I will be a part of Entrails, I love old school death metal and I’m looking forward to continue and make some brutal music with these guys!”
Martin ‘Fjalar’ Mikaelsson supplied the following: “I’m really looking forward to bring death upon earth with Entrails as the new torturer of heads!”
Svensson was vocalist / bassist from 2009 until 2016, while Mitroulis was drummer from 2010 until 2016. During that time period, Entrails issued the following four full-lengths; Tales From The Morgue (2010), The Tomb Awaits (2011), Raging Death (2013), and Obliteration (2015). Svensson appeared on all of these, while Mitroulis appeared on the latter three listed.
Entrails’ line-up is as follows;
Tommy Carlsson (vocals and bass)
Jimmy Lundqvist (guitar)
Pontus “Penki” Samuelsson (guitar)
Martin “Fjalar” Mikaelsson (drums)
