FEUERSCHWANZ Release 11th Studio Album ‘Fegefeuer’

German pagan / folk metal band Feuerschwanz issued 11th full-length studio album Fegefeuer on July 7th, 2023 through Napalm Records.
The track ‘Bastard von Asgard’ features a guest vocal contribution from Eluveitie frontwoman Fabienne Erni.
Lyrically speaking, Fegefeuer generally covers long forgotten legends and heroic battles. The track ‘SGFRD Dragonslayer’ lyrically references Siegfried / Sigurd the Dragonslayer as one example, while ‘Uruk-Hai’ takes its name from a breed of Orcs in The Lord Of The Rings (1954-1955) series. On the other hand, ‘Berzerkermode’ takes inspiration from the Vikings.

Several versions of Fegefeuer include the live bonus album Live In Wacken 2022, recorded on August 5th of that year at the Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany.
Music videos were filmed for the songs ‘Bastard von Asgard’, ‘Berzerkermode’ and ‘SGFRD Dragonslayer’. In addition, an official lyric video was created for the title track. All four clips can be viewed below.
Tenth studio record Memento Mori was released in December 2021 via Napalm Records.
