HAMMERCULT Sign Album Contract With SPV / Steamhammer
June 5th, 2015
Tel Aviv, Israel-based thrash metal group Hammercult have signed an album contract with SPV / Steamhammer, revealing this development on June 4th, 2015.
Vocalist Yakir Shochat issued the following statement: “This October will mark five years from the day we stepped into the rehearsal room for the first time and Hammercult were born. It’s been a hell of a ride – with five full European tours supporting legendary bands who we grew up listening to (Sepultura, DRI, Napalm Death etc…), around 150 live shows in over 20 countries, countless festivals, two killer extreme metal albums – and the best is still yet to come! We are proud to join the SPV / Steamhammer family, one of the biggest international metal labels, with it’s own glory history. I’m positive that with SPV / Steamhammer behind us, new goals will be achieved and Hammercult’s extreme metal will spread stronger than ever!”
Steamhammer A&R representative Olly Hahn shared the following words, meanwhile: “Hammercult is one of these bands who are willing to have success. They are more than 100% into the metal genre and can’t wait to play another show or festival. The new album will be a surprise and I’m sure that we both have a great future in front of us!”
Second studio record Steelcrusher was released in January 2014.
