LIGHT THE TORCH Issue Lyric Video For ‘The Great Divide’ Track

Los Angeles, California-based metalcore group Light The Torch have released an official lyric video for the track ‘The Great Divide’, which can be viewed below.
“This song is basically about doing anything to save that which is already dead,” said singer Howard Jones. “You’ve tried everything to make it work and you knew deep down it wouldn’t work in the first place.”
Light The Torch issued debut full-length studio album Revival on March 30th, 2018 through Nuclear Blast Entertainment.
Light The Torch were previously named Devil You Know, having issued two albums under that moniker; The Beauty Of Destruction (2014) and They Bleed Red (2015). Allegedly, the name change occurred to former drummer John Sankey wishing to claim part copyright to the name Devil You Know, Sankey having departed in June 2016.
“2016 was a really tough year for us as a band, both personally and professionally,” frontman Howard Jones explained. “While going through some line-up changes, we were also battling some issues with the use of our band name. At the same time, I was trying to deal with the loss of my oldest brother, which really hit me hard. During that time, we just bonded like never before. We all meshed because we faced war together. We survived. At the end, we realized we were a real band and decided to make an album representing that resilience. Honestly, we came out of the dark. The name literally signifies what we went through.”
“It was time for a change,” the singer continues. “It was time for us to try and stretch our wings. We were really going for songs. The structuring made more sense. I was focused on melody and harmony. I really cut loose. All in all, it was the perfect storm. We had so much fun making this, because there were really no restrictions other than creating a heavy and catchy body of work.”
Cover artwork duties for Revival fell to guitarist Francesco Artusato.
