Swedish metal band Liv Sin, fronted by former Sister Sin vocalist Liv Jagrell, are streaming the Zardonic remix version of the track ‘Hope Begins To Fade’. Featuring guest vocals from Soilwork and The Night Flight Orchestra singer Björn “Speed” Strid, the song can be accessed below. ‘Hope Begins To Fade (Zardonic Remix)’ can also be streamed / purchased here.
Zardonic (aka Federico Ágreda Álvarez) said: “This song not only spoke to me. It was like somebody else was screaming out loud the words that I didn’t know were in my head. We are the architects of our own mental prison, and it is only at those moments, when all hope is lost, that we have no other choice but to stand up, fight the demons and remember that we always, always have a choice.”
Liv Jagrell added: “It’s definitely pretty cool to get someone like Zardonic to remix. His version of our song ‘Hope Begins To Fade’ gives a different feeling and will be perfect to accompany a long morning run.”
Liv Sin issued second full-length studio album Burning Sermons on September 6th, 2019 through Despotz Records.
The outing was produced by Deathstars guitarist Emil Nödtveidt at Black Syndicate studio in Stockholm.
Liv Jagrell commented: “We wanted to explore a more modern sound with some synthesizers on this album. I think that this album might surprise a lot of our fans. I have known Emil for many years, so it was really fun to reconnect. The first moment he sent us his ideas of our demos I was delirious!”
Contributing guest vocals on the song ‘Hope Begins To Fade’ is Soilwork and The Night Flight Orchestra singer Björn “Speed” Strid.
Speaking about the track, the band stated: “For a heavy bombastic song like ‘Hope Begins To Fade’ that features orchestral elements we wanted to find a cool contrasting voice to Liv, and Björn’s name came up when we were discussing guests for the album with our label. His deep growls and marvelous clear voice was the ultimate combination to lift this song to the next level and it fit seamlessly with Liv’s tone. His impressive skills from actually both Soilwork and The Night Flight Orchestra shines through here, which added that extra punch to the song. It was the perfect match!”
