Regarding the rendition, the band stated: “I think we made the best soundtrack for Ragnarok. Drink your moonshine and let’s go dancing with the spirits under the big silver moon.”
Nytt Land issued five-track EP Ritual: Blood Of The West on November 18th, 2022 in digital format through Napalm Records.
Ritual: Blood Of The West consists of tracks taken from August 2021 outing Ritual which have been reworked into gothic folk and western-inspired styles.
“We’ve said many times that country and blues music are some of our favourite music genres,” Nytt Land commented. “This EP is our tribute and memory to those great musicians who stood at the very origins of American country and blues music, those whose music inspires us daily. For us, working on this album has become the most unusual, but at the same time extremely interesting experience. And we really love that we did it!”
