PRETTY MAIDS Part Ways With Drummer Allan Tschicaja

Horsens, Denmark-based hard rock / metal group Pretty Maids have parted ways with drummer Allan Tschicaja, revealing this development on May 1st, 2017.
Pretty Maids issued the following statement: “It’s with great regret and heavy heart we write this post and have to inform you that Allan Tchicaja has decided to leave the band to focus on his family and other endeavors. With his unique drumming style and personality he really made a big impression on the Pretty Maids sound in recent years. After so many years in the band he will be not only be missed dearly by the band but also by you, the fans. It’s a sad day but we have to respect his decision. After all, being in a band is not a life sentence! We thank him and wish him the best luck on his future endeavours, but as you know, The Show Must Go On!!”
Allan Tschicaja offered the following words, meanwhile: “After 12 fantastic years of touring, recording, rocking and rollin’, I’ve decided to leave Pretty Maids. It’s been a difficult decision for me, but I want to focus more on family, friends and other projects. Pretty Maids is an amazing band with a great legacy and present career that many can only dream of! I wish my mates in the band all the best in the future – you deserve it!”
Tschicaja joined Pretty Maids in 2005 and appeared on five full-length studio albums; Wake Up To The Real World (2006) Pandemonium (2010), Motherland (2013), Louder Than Ever (2014) and Kingmaker (2016) as well as the 2012 live CD / DVD set It Comes Alive (Made In Switzerland).
