Los Angeles, California-based progressive / power metal group Redemption have parted ways with Fates Warning frontman Ray Alder and recruited Evergrey vocalist Tom S. Englund, revealing this development on September 8th, 2017.
Founding member Nick van Dyk issued the following statement: “We are delighted to welcome Tom as the voice of. Redemption. He has an incredibly powerful, soulful and emotional voice that our music really demands and we are quite confident that people will be blown away by what we have created together.”
At the time of writing, Redemption have completed recording sessions for seventh full-length studio album Long Night’s Journey Into Day, to be issued in early 2018 through Metal Blade Records. Produced by Jacob Hansen, guitarists Chris Poland (ex-Megadeth / OHM) and Simone Mularoni (DGM) return as guest musicians.
Sixth studio record The Art Of Loss was released in February 2016 via Metal Blade Records.
