A trailer can be viewed below.
Written by Dayal Patterson, author of 2015 book Black Metal: The Cult Never Dies, Under Our Black Cult charts the early years of Rotting Christ from their grindcore origins to becoming a name within the black metal scene. Under Our Black Cult features interviews with the band, plus luminaries from the black metal and underground scenes, and friends such as Behemoth frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski, Moonspell singer Fernando Ribeiro, and others.
The five audio discs contain a collection of early works, including demos, rarities, live material, the Passage To Arcturo MLP (1991), and their first two albums in Thy Mighty Contract (1993) and Non Serviam (1994). Also included is a limited hand-signed certificate from Sakis “Necromayhem” Tolis (while stocks last).
Cover artwork duties fell to Vjacheslav Smishko.
Rotting Christ recently entered the studio to begin recording their as-yet-untitled 13th full-length studio album.
Twelfth studio record Rituals was released in February 2016 via Season Of Mist.
