Vocalist Jörgen Ström parted ways with Swedish death metal group Skineater, revealing this development on December 31st, 2013.
Skineater issued the following statement: “We want to thank Jörgen for his truly amazing efforts in Skineater! Jörgen is an old friend of us and there is absolutely no hard feelings between us. We thank you, Jörgen, for everything. It has been a pleasure to have you on board on this machine called Skineater! Good luck with your future plans!”
Ström, meanwhile, shared the following words: “As of now, I’m no longer a member of Skineater. I decided to leave the band because of lack of time and motivation to put in all the hard work that is necessary to keep the band moving forward. I still consider the other guys good friends of mine and I wish them all the best in the future! I see myself more as a bass player than a vocalist, so that’s what I’ll be doing now. Slappin’ da bass!”
Jörgen Ström joined Skineater in 2011, having replaced original vocalist / drummer Jeramie Kling (Infernaeon). The frontman stepped behind the microphone for January 2013 debut full-length Dermal Harvest, issued via Pulverised Records.
