SODOM Release 16th Studio Album ‘Genesis XIX’
November 27th, 2020

Gelsenkirchen, Germany-based thrash metal band Sodom issued 16th full-length studio album Genesis XIX in Europe on November 27th, 2020 via SPV / Steamhammer. North American release took place the same day via Entertainment One (eOne).

The outing marks the recording debut of drummer Toni Merkel, who joined Sodom’s ranks in January 2020.

Genesis XIX was recorded at Woodhouse Studio in Hagen, Germany with producer Siggi Bemm. Mastering duties fell to Patrick W. Engel at Temple Of Disharmony in Bamberg, Germany.

Toni Merkel (drums, Sabiendas / Big End Bolt)

Directed by Moritz “Mumpi” Künster, a music video was filmed for the track ‘Friendly Fire’. In addition, official lyric videos were created for the songs ‘Sodom & Gomorrah’ and ‘Indoctrination’. All three clips can be viewed below.

Fifteenth studio record Decision Day was released in August 2016 via SPV / Steamhammer.
