SÓLSTAFIR Release Fifth Studio Album ‘Ótta’

Reykjavik, Iceland-based metal group Sólstafir issued fifth full-length studio album Ótta on August 29th, 2014 in Europe through Season Of Mist. The label scheduled North American release for September 2nd.
Ótta was recorded at Sundlaugin Studio in Mosfellsbær, Iceland during December 2013 and January 2014, and mastered by Andy Jackson at Tube Mastering in Hertfordshire, England.

Sólstafir’s recording line-up was as follows;
Aðalbjörn Tryggvason (vocals and guitar)
Sæþór Maríus Sæþórsson (guitar)
Svavar Austmann (bass)
Guðmundur Óli Pálmason (drums)
In its first week of release, Ótta charted in the following countries; Finland (#2), Germany (#25), Switzerland (#64), Austria (#65), and Iceland (#1).
Music videos were filmed for the tracks ‘Lágnætti’, ‘Miðaftann’ and ‘Dagmál’, which can be viewed below.
Fourth studio record Svartir Sandar was released in October 2011.
