SPOCK’S BEARD Issue Lyric Video For New Song ‘Somebody’s Home’
May 17th, 2018

Los Angeles, California-based progressive rock group Spock’s Beard have released an official lyric video for the track ‘Somebody’s Home’, which can be viewed below.

Spock’s Beard issue 13th full-length studio album Noise Floor on May 25th, 2018 through InsideOut Music.

Frontman Ted Leonard commented: “We are always about evolution, not revolution. But what we have done this time is make the songs more melodic. We still love our crazy prog, but now appreciate how important it is to grab people’s attention early on.”

Much of the outing was written by the individual members, and then brought to the rest of the band as high quality demos. “We all do this type of thing in our home studios,” says Leonard. “So, by the time they reach the stage where the entire band get to judge them, they are really developed, and therefore everyone can make a reasoned judgement.”

Noise Floor was engineered by longtime collaborator Rich Mouser. In addition, the effort marks the return of original drummer Nick D’Virgilio, who figured among the ranks from 1992 until 2011. The departure of Jimmy Keegan following a five-year tenure was revealed on October 12th, 2016, the sticksman citing personal reasons.
