Former TIGERTAILZ Singer STEEVI JAIMZ Issues Music Video For Remake Of ‘Living Without You’
October 10th, 2016
Former Tigertailz vocalist Steevi Jaimz has filmed a music video for his 30th anniversary remake of the song ‘Living Without You’. Featuring guitarist Phil Vokins (Wrathchild, Tyrant, ex-Persian Risk), the clip can be viewed below. The track will soon be made available as a digital download.
Steevi Jaimz commented: “It’s been re-recorded and re-released many times. But this is the first time I have done it since writing it. And it has never sounded anything like this. We’ve stripped the song back to basics and turned it around. And what we have, is the song at it’s melodic best. How it would have sounded without screaming guitars. And how I imagined it to sound when I originally wrote it. And because of who I wrote it about, it’s very sentimental and personal to me. Basically, it’s been given the grown up 2016 treatment.”
The latest remake of ‘Living Without You’ was recorded in 2007 at Platform Studios in Sweden during recording sessions for Steevi Jaimz’s 2009 solo album My Private Hell, and recently completed with producer Dave Draper at Tower Studios in Pershore, England.
The original Tigertailz version appeared on the Cardiff, Wales-based glam metal band’s 1987 debut album Young And Crazy. Jaimz parted ways with Tigertailz in 1988.
Steevi Jaimz and Phil Vokins will be collaborating on a special album project which is due for release through AOR Blvd records in 2017.
