SURMA Make Debut Album ‘The Light Within’ Available For Streaming In Its Entirety

International metal band Surma issue debut full-length studio album The Light Within on November 6th, 2020 through Metal Blade Records.

Surma paired Bohemian Metal Rhapsody vocalist Viktorie Surmøvá with Týr guitarist / vocalist Heri Joensen, the group forming in 2018. The majority of 2019 was spent writing, arranging and recording the music that would comprise their debut.
Lars Vinther arranged most of the orchestrations, with Joensen also contributing somewhat. Maintaining overall control over proceedings, Surmøvá and Joensen produced the record themselves in the guitarist’s home studio with the drums tracked in Moscow.
The Light Within was mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark.

The Light Within will be made available in the following vinyl formats; 180g black vinyl (EU exclusive), lilac marbled vinyl (EU exclusive, limited to 200 copies), grey / black marbled vinyl (EU exclusive, limited to 200 copies), and violet blue marbled vinyl (US exclusive).
A music video was filmed for the track ‘Until It Rains Again’. In addition, an official lyric video was created for the song ‘Reveal The Light Within’. Both clips can be viewed below.
