Stockholm, Sweden-based rock band The Heard have filmed a music video for the track ‘A Death Supreme’. Directed by Damón Zurawski and Johan Bååth, the clip can be viewed below.
The band stated: “‘A Death Supreme’ is the tale of a woman who decided to create a new destiny for herself by moving to ‘The Island’. Her past caught up with her though, and the attraction of the nature got under her skin and spread inside her like the wind. It led her down to the water and into ‘A Death Supreme’.
The Heard issued debut full-length studio album The Island on November 2nd, 2018 through Despotz Records.
Guitarist Klara Rönnqvist Fors commented: “The Island is a dream project! Me, Ida and Nicki have been playing music together since our teenage years. Our thoughts about exploring the songwriting has been growing for a while. It was incredible to meet Skinny and Pepper who immediately understood our vision.
“The Heard is very different musically compared to our previous work, and it’s been very exciting to write a concept album. It’s also been a pleasant escape from reality while making this album. We love our intriguing, supernatural island-world and hope our listeners will enjoy it as much as we do.”
The Island was recorded and produced by The Heard and Conny Wall at GiG Studio in Stockholm. Conny Wall was also responsible for mixing and mastering duties.
Cover artwork was created by Nina Johansson.
