THE RODS Sign Album Contract With Steamhammer / SPV
March 9th, 2017
New York-based metal group The Rods have signed an album contract with Steamhammer / SPV, revealing this development on March 9th, 2017.
Drummer Carl Canedy issued the following statement: “The third time’s a charm! After two unsuccessful attempts, to work with Olly Hahn and Steamhammer / SPV, it’s finally happening. The Rods have signed a worldwide deal for their brand new album, Louder Than Loud. This album, in my opinion, has some of the strongest Rods material in years. The title says it all!”
Steamhammer / SPV A&R and international product manager Olly Hahn shared the following words, meanwhile: “I remember when I saw an ad for the album Wild Dogs (1982) in a German magazine back in 1982. I immediately had to have the album although I had no idea what I can expect music-wise. The cover was so awesome, and when I put the album on my turntable, I was blown away. Now, thirty-five years later, it’s fantastic to say the following sentence: We’re proud and happy to welcome The Rods to our big Steamhammer family!”
The Rod’s line-up is as follows;
David “Rock” Feinstein (vocals and guitars)
Garry Bordonaro (bass)
Carl Canedy (drums)
Eighth full-length Louder Than Loud is slated for issue later in 2017.
Seventh studio record Vengeance was released in May 2011 via Niji Entertainment Group.
