TIM BOWNESS: Designer Jarrod Gosling Talks ‘Stupid Things That Mean The World’ Cover Artwork
July 20th, 2015

English progressive rock vocalist Tim Bowness – of No-Man – has published a video in which designer Jarrod Gosling discusses the cover artwork for third full-length solo studio album Stupid Things That Mean The World.

Tim Bowness issued Stupid Things That Mean The World on July 17th, 2015 through Inside Out Music.

The outing was produced by Bowness, and mixed by The Pineapple Thief vocalist / guitarist Bruce Soord, who additionally lends guitar parts to the album in places. Stupid Things That Mean The World’s recording line-up features Bowness along with members of the No-Man live band (Stephen Bennett, Michael Bearpark, and Andrew Booker) as well as Porcupine Tree bassist Colin Edwin, that line-up augmented by contributions from Peter Hammill, Phil Manzanera, Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson percussionist), Anna Phoebe, David Rhodes (Peter Gabriel / Kate Bush / Scott Walker), and Rhys Marsh. Classical composer Andrew Keeling lends string arrangements to the effort.

Mastering was overseen by The Pineapple Thief keyboardist Steve Kitch.

Cover artwork duties fell to Jarrod Gosling, once again.

The effort was made available as a double CD media book boasting a companion disc of alternate mixes and demos (including an unreleased No-Man demo from 1994), as well as in gatefold vinyl LP, CD, and digital formats.
