Dutch thrash metal band Usurper have released a music video for the track ‘Cold Lake’, which can be viewed below.
The band commented: “Ladies and gentle people here it is, our new Usurper video for ‘Cold Lake’… a ten minute short movie through hell and back.
“‘Cold Lake’ is the third video from our Evilution album. It’s our little tribute to Tom Warrior and Celtic Frost, because of all the inspiration they gave us in the early days. Besides that, we didn’t wanna do a ‘ballad’ like most thrash bands do so we tried to do something different. And that became the slow ultra doom track what ‘Cold Lake’ is.
“We are not going to enter any charts or playlist with this one, but it’s a little piece of dark art for you. So share the hell out of this mother fucker!”
Usurper issued second full-length studio album Evilution on June 12th, 2020 through No Dust Records.
Evilution was produced by Patrick Harreman and Michel Moed. Mastering duties fell to Michel Moed for Big-Mike Productions.
Cover artwork was created by Robert Anthony Lammerding.
